Check out Kathleen Kirk's playful poem, "Don't Stup Your Sister." She posted the full text over at her blog, Wait! I Have a Blog?! She wrote this poem on the "Izanagi and Izanami" Japanese creation myth for the special performance of The Encyclopedia Show that was presented last Friday, April 29, at 7:30 p.m., at the Cultural Center. This performance was open to the public, but also a part of our Great Books Chicago 2011 weekend. Since this year's GBC was all about beginnings, the special theme for last Friday's show was "Creation Myths."
For Chicago-area people, there is another episode of The Encyclopedia Show TONIGHT at the Vittum Theater at 7:30 p.m. The theme for Wednesday, May 4 is "Flightless Birds."
